Hooja

Somewhere north of the Arctic Circle lives the masked fiddler team Hooja, who debuted in 2021 with "Donkey Kong". The sound has been described as "forest disco" where with a unique expression and a big pinch of salt they drive themselves over catchy melodies and lyrics about theie life in the north.

The word about Hooja spread quickly at the beginning of 2022 and after just a few days, four songs were at the top of Spotify's list of the most viral songs in Sweden, a list that Hooja has dominated throughout 2022, to say the least. It all gained extra momentum with the hit "Banana, Melon, Kiwi & Citron" and already on September 10 this year the Hooja fever was total when the duo succeeded in becoming Sweden's most streamed artist on Spotify. On June 6, we celebrate Sweden's national day with pomp, show and the occasional chainsaw, when Hooja takes his forest disco to the big city and Gröna Lund's Stora Scen.
