    With one of the world's biggest songs of all time, 'Smoke on the Water', and a career spanning seven decades, there's no doubt they're rock royalty. The last time they played at Gröna Lund was in 2016 and we look forward to once again welcoming the rock legends Deep Purple when they take the Big Stage on August 6 at 8 p.m.

    There are probably not enough superlatives to describe what Deep Purple has meant to rock music. They have sold over 100 million over a span of seven decades and their legendary album 'Made in Japan' from the early 70's is considered one of the world's most important and influential live albums ever. In 2008 they received the "Legend Award" at the World Music Awards and in 2016 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With one of the greatest rock songs of all time, "Smoke on the Water", they have helped shape the hard rock genre and over time also developed it.
