Soen is a progressive metal band from Sweden, formed in 2004 by drummer Martin Lopez, formerly of Opeth and Amon Amarth. Soen's music has always analyzed both the self and society, both musically and as expressive artists. Cognitive from 2012 struck a heavy, progressive metal tone while Tellurian from 2014 moved more freely with its own power and unique vision. Their third album, Lykaia, took Soen on a conceptual journey. With a steadily growing international fan base and critically acclaimed albums, Soen has established themselves as one of the most respected acts in modern progressive metal.
