    After the acclaimed album release of A Song for Selma earlier this year – a musical interpretation of Selma Lagerlöf’s texts – Sofia Karlsson is now heading out on the road this summer. The tour features ten concerts across the country, where Sofia delves deeper into Lagerlöf’s world through music, poetry, and storytelling.

    This spring’s exclusive release tour in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Mårbacka quickly sold out and was met with standing ovations and glowing reviews. Now, more people will have the chance to experience the critically acclaimed work as it arrives at Swedish summer venues – from churches to festival stages.

    With her unique voice and ability to bring literary texts to life, Sofia, together with lyricist Johan Salberg, has created a work that moves between the traditions of Swedish folk music, ballads, and the contemporary. On stage, Selma’s words come to life in a warm and poetic performance.
