    Sparks

    Sparks, the iconic art-pop duo of brothers Ron and Russell Mael, have been a constant force of creativity and originality entirely in their own genre since their inception in 1971. With their genre-crossing sound and unique aesthetic, Sparks have never followed the rules – they’ve created their own.

    Sparks were among the greatest in glam rock in the 1970s, alongside Sweet, Marc Bolan and David Bowie. Later, however, they would abandon the glitter to successfully embark on the growing disco movement. But they didn't stay there for long. On the album that followed, they had of course changed genre ... again.

    Despite over five decades in the spotlight, Sparks are more relevant than ever. Their tours, which have included sold-out gigs at iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, are not just concerts - they are spectacles that celebrate everything that is possible and impossible. And now, on July 4th, it's time for Sparks to step onto Gröna Lund's big stage for the first time!
