Grönan Live

    Trippie Redd

He is one of hip-hop's most creative artists right now. He has been influenced by Tupac and Jay-Z as well as Slipknot and Marilyn Manson. Since debuting in 2017, he's sold multi-platinum, topped the Billboard Top 5 five times in a row, and been streamed hundreds of millions of times.

Trippie Redd (or Michael Lamar White IV as he was named) was born in 1999 in Canton, Ohio. As a kid he listened to hip-hop icons such as Tupac Shakur, Nas and Jay-Z but later also became fascinated by shock rock acts such as Slipknot, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, something that also influenced his music. His music career started in a home-built studio in his cousin's basement in Ohio, but when he later moved to Atlanta, he was quickly discovered and given a record deal. Since then, he has achieved countless successes and has collaborated with, among others, Travis Scott and Busta Rhymes. He is today considered one of hip-hop's most creative and genre-breaking artists, where his melodic rap and sharp lyrics are mixed with elements of rock and heavy metal. On August 23 at 20.00 we welcome Trippie Redd out on Gröna Lund's Big Stage for the first time.
